I wish I got this sooner! Earlier this year I moved from Zoho One to Microsoft 365 Business, and one of Microsoft's worst business tools is their scheduler. It has some pretty basic misses which TidyCal handles properly:
1. Time zones!
Microsoft can't seem to figure out Daylight Savings, but TidyCal got my normal business hours right the first time. No more manually checking and adjusting my business hours (or worrying about future bookings after DTS changes again!).
2. Booking pages
The only way to separate booking pages on Microsoft is to create a new group every time. TidyCal keeps this super simple with whether pages are public or private, plus whether they're in TidyCal's public directory.
3. Buffer times
This was the main reason I ended up switching to TidyCal. Microsoft handles buffer time by extending the meeting time in my calendar. So if I have a 30-minute call scheduled at 10am with 30-minute buffers before and after, Microsoft will create a meeting in my calendar for 9:30am to 11am. Although my calendar is effectively blocked, I ended up manually creating a second calendar entry for the actual meeting time--and losing the benefit of automatic schedulers. TidyCal handles this as expected, setting up the calendar entry for the actual meeting time and simply not allowing bookings during the buffer times.
Thank you for creating this and not having it as another monthly subscription!
It covers all the bases for offering a link to your availability on one or multiple calendars you have in one account. The UI could use some updating to look a little more professional and I'm not thrilled about the "minimal" advertising TidyCal injects on my booking page; the rationale being it's how they justify a one-time fee vs. subscription. Their advertising looks like I'm using a free version and makes me look like a chump. Calendly is better overall, however, I wasn't willing to pay a monthly cost. Overall, it's a good value for one account, I just which it looked more professional.
Oh dear… I am a s@x coach based in the UK with a known national and international brand and service. I couldn't use my business name because, oh, the sin of it - obviously, s@x is in the title. I didn't discover this until I had paid. They refunded very quickly - which is good, of course, but no message back, no attempt to negotiate. I assume they basically ban therapists working with adult intimacy issues. Look how careful I have to be with my wording - this people, is why folks have such issues with, er, adult intimacy issues. 😉
I personally love calendly but this was worth evaluating if it helped me get rid of a subscription and BOY did it. This is a phenomenal tool, 5 tacos and I can't wait to see how it grows. I've been recommending this to all of my friends, you would think I had an affiliate code haha!
I am replacing Calendly, and so far, I'm very impressed. I had a couple of technical issues this morning, and the AI tool was able to help me and answer my questions. So far, I love what I'm seeing!
I purchased this product (with apprehension) and it was the best decision I've made. Yes, it does have some TidyCal branding and there are some other products that are promoted to us but it's not as extreme as the reviews are making it to be. I don't mind especially with the ease of use, features and small price point. Also, I'm saving money! I don't have to pay a fee monthly for a great calendaring feature. It's worth it! I was able to set up three booking types within an hour. It's so easy to use and I absolutely love it.
Lifetime license, low cost, intuitive interface (I had my mom book some meetings with me - which she did without any problem). Great product. Five stars. Highly recommend.
I loved that it has everything needed, its simple, customizable and everything I need in a booking app.
I use this to schedule Sales Agents for additional training in my company this app is a gem. It does what is says I even use a third party link Ring central for my videos instead of zoom.
I’m genuinely surprised by how aggressively TidyCal pushes its own branding — even with a premium account. On mobile, the “powered by” branding feels like the main call to action, which is a pretty frustrating experience when you’re trying to offer a professional booking flow. Even most free tools keep branding more subtle than this.
At the very least, premium users should have the option to disable or tone it down. Until then, it’s hard to recommend TidyCal for anyone client-facing.
Been using TidyCal for years and I am still amazed at the feature set and how its updated constantly. Saved $100s on annual fees for similar alternatives. Super duper solid booking software.
You don’t realize what you’re missing until you start using a program like this. I know there are others out there, but I never felt the need to try them, until I saw the AppSumo deal offering a lifetime subscription. That sealed it for me.
TidyCal has been a complete game changer for my business. Being able to send clients a booking link makes the process smooth and professional. Almost every client tells me how easy it was to schedule the exact day and time they wanted to drop off their items.
TidyCal is a must-have. Plus, they’re constantly improving it. Adding new features and making it look and work even better than when I first started using it!
