Turn your speech into well-written text
Letterly significantly streamlines my email responses, saving me valuable time. I've tested it in three languages: English, Italian, and Portuguese, and it performs excellently in all. While a review is still necessary, the time saved is substantial.
Another captivating application lies in content creation. While I haven't tried it myself, I am confident that Letterly can streamline the writing process by transforming your ideas into a more engaging and easily digestible format, effectively eliminating the tedious aspects of writing.
I am currently using the Desktop version, but I am considering getting an Android license.
I’ve been using Letterly, and it’s seriously amazing! I just talk, and it effortlessly turns my thoughts into smooth text—perfect for notes, messages, and content. It does exactly what it's meant to, though I’d love to see recordings extended to 60 minutes and the option to playback my speech as an MP3 for download.
The team have used what's available to date to build a solid tool for, organising minds and note keeping with assisted AI.
This appears a great and sustainable tool with high output capacity and reasonable limits for price.
It recently opened doors with extensibility options with webhooks giving great opportunity on the fly, with offline and online capabilities, you really don't miss out your thought processes, or structured replies.
Really handy
Works perfect. Also in Dutch.
One extra option would be nice
That you can edit the text and speak within the edit mode
Seems like a well written prompt with grok or chatgpt will deliver as good or better results
Letterly does its job really well, and that’s transcribing.
Bought Tier 1.
It’s amazing—it even supports my small language, which only has about 4 million speakers.
For the first time ever, I can dictate, take notes online in my language, and translate.
The interface is simple and direct. It’s easy and effective for translating between languages.
Things to improve:
1. Add web access or a desktop app for Windows, Mac, and Linux Ubuntu.
2. Increase transcription time from 15 minutes to at least an hour for Tier 1, and maybe (almost) unlimited for higher tiers.
3. Memory, cross-memory, learning and following-up questions.
Lost one star because there’s no web access.
I read the devs' reasons why there is no web access.
Almost every other app I’ve bought on AppSumo has an iPhone app with the same features, and it’s included in the price.
Isn’t there some kind of ‘wrapper’ that turns a web app into a desktop or mobile app?
Thank you for such great app :)

### Zuid-Afrikaans Beoordeling:
1. Voeg webtoegang of ’n tafelrekenaarprogram vir Windows, Mac en Linux Ubuntu by.
I am greatly impressed by the outstanding quality of this application. Letterly has demonstrated itself to be an invaluable tool, providing capabilities that significantly exceed its core functions.
Review of the Letterly Application
The Letterly application is very useful for daily activities, such as jotting down ideas and drafting scripts.
Features that are liked:
- Tags for organizing notes
- Rewriting notes into various structured formats
- Creating custom rewrite formats
Features in the web version:
- Actions in the form of webhooks to send webhooks to automation, like ActivePieces, this integration open unlimited functionality.
Drawbacks:
- The action feature is only available in the web version, not yet in the Android app. Please make it available to Android App A.S.A.P 😄
- The web version and the app are counted as dual licenses, unfortunately
Thank you.
Ps. Letterly re-write and translate this review from Indonesian to English.
Letterly sounded so cool that I bought three codes on the fly without trying the app. I gave one code each to my two sons as Christmas presents and kept two codes for myself. My sons and I immediately fell in love when we tried it. It's one of my top three AppSumo purchases ever!
I'm lovin' Letterly because it helps me stop my chronic overthinking, which leads to inaction. To combat inertia, I open Letterly on my iPhone, hit record, and talk to it. With its amazing rewrite options, one spoken rambling can be magically cleaned up or transformed into a journal entry, an FB post, a to-do list, etc.—outputs I wouldn't have produced if my thoughts had remained in my head.
I appreciate other users' feature requests and can only imagine how much greater Letterly will become with further development. That said, for what Letterly serves in my productivity toolbox, I'd give it five stars.
After several months of using Letterly, I've come to appreciate its elegant balance of simplicity and power. While initially, the notes felt somewhat confined within the app, recent updates have dramatically expanded its capabilities.
The newly released webhook features are a game-changer. https://letterly.app/updates/ With a single click, I can now send both original and AI-improved versions of my notes via webhook (to Pabbly), opening up countless possibilities for content management and distribution.
Letterly's flexible automation system allows you to create different workflows for various purposes: • Personal notes • Business content • Journaling • Social media posts
Each automation can be directed to different destinations, such as separate Google Sheets, making organization and access remarkably straightforward.
This tool has transformed my daily workflow. Recently, I was able to draft a comprehensive project proposal during my morning commute. What would have typically taken hours of sitting at my desk was accomplished through simple voice notes that Letterly transformed into polished, professional content (at least the initial draft).
The development team clearly values user feedback, evidenced by their continuous improvements. While some users debate the 15-minute limit, I believe it aligns with the tool's core purpose: quick, efficient note-taking rather than long-form transcription.
Future Improvements The addition of audio export capabilities (via webhook) would further enhance the tool's utility, enabling automatic archiving of original audio files for future reference.
For busy people seeking an efficient way to harness AI for note-taking and content creation, Letterly is an invaluable tool that continues to evolve and improve. Its combination of simplicity, power, and new integration capabilities makes it a standout choice in the productivity tool landscape.
You can't fetch your notes on a web interface. What's the point to take audio notes on the move if you can't dowload a CSV with all your text notes.
The app is nice but is quite unusable in its current state.
If the app get this feature, thet it would be really a 5 star.
I bought your first LTD, and would really like to buy again, to upgrade to 2 devices.
BUT, what's holding me back is, that it's not possible at ALL to save or export existing notes to anywhere. its not even a function.
I like your app, and the features, but im really down, regarding the lack of this "must have" function.
Otherwise you are just locking us to your app, and with our even having the possibility to make backups. Which is really important for me, to make backups, and even being able to use those notes for anything, besides inside the app.
Im sad about not having gotten more updates in this app, besides bug fixes, and small enhancements. An exports feature would be so obvious and simple to implement.
Are you considering this? or ? should we leave it at 3 stars?
