I liked the deal and fhe features of the app. It really enhances the sound really nicely. Still there is a lot of scope for improvements. Customization options are missing, it should give options of making sound turn into what type of sound.

I used a very cheap mic for testing and found the sound quality is very good.

I uploaded a video file where my video guy is telling me what to do. His voice is ever-so-faint in the background. Then it goes to me speaking.

Xound enhanced my video guy's voice and normalised the volume. I could hear him clearly after the editing process was done. It went from a very distant voice, to a normal sounding voice. Then, when it came to me speaking, it removed the 'open room' type reverb noise, and enhanced the sound of my voice.

I like that I can upload the video directly into Xound, which you can't do with the free version of Adobe Podcast (what I've used until now). This makes Xound more efficient. After doing a comparison with another video with background music + lots of background noise (talking, traffic and construction), Adobe Podcast did a much better job at isolating my voice. With Adobe, all background noise was removed, but with Xound, I could still catch bits of music and the occasional sound in the background, and my voice just didn't sound as clean / clear. For ordinary use cases, though, Xound does really well.

I love that it's all processed locally, for privacy reasons.

I'll need to see what resources it uses, as I did notice the fans in my PC (which isn't anything fancy, mind you) fans start ramping up a bit during the processing. I'd love to know if it's using more CPU or GPU, but in any case, it only took a minute or less to process a 5min video in full.

It'd be cool to upload multiple files and work through them one by one, then select each one to review.

One other thing I noticed is that you can revert it to the original if you don't like the edits.

I would suggest, if you're wanting to test how it works on a longer video, to only highlight a small section before doing the full thing. If you're happy with it, process the edits on the full video. Just in case the audio enhancing isn't to your liking, and you need to do it all over again.

It's important to note that the online app doesn't save your files. You upload, you do the edit, then you save / download, then you go back to the home screen and uploading your next video. This, again, emphasises the need to get it right the first time so you don't need to upload it again.

Overall, I'm super glad I bought this. I love it!

Thanks I was amazed with the tool. It already saved me from rerecording a few hours of video. I could instantly fix my videos that were recorded on the wrong settings. Definitly a keeper.

If you make videos or any type of audio recording and want to normalize, clean, and improve the quality of your file, then you need Xound in your life.

I upload my videos (explaining whatever), then I request to use a voice replacement for mine, and I chose Adam’s voice, and wow, it made a big difference.

I’ve been using Xound for a while now. I tested all kinds of damaged audio, and every time it fixes it. It removes dog barks, cars, and even wind sounds. On top of that, you can automatically set the right volume for YouTube. You should definitely get this — you never know when you’re going to need to fix audio, and as you may know, audio is more important than video quality.

I often have the challenge of compensating for the large differences in volume between the interviewer and the interviewee. When the microphone is pointed at the interviewee, the interviewer sounds much quieter and muffled.
Thanks to Xound, I can easily and quickly edit the audio file so that both voices are perceived almost equally loud and clear. I am really impressed.

I don't need to think in how to configure the tool. I just add the audio and it will give me an optimized audio. For the easy of use compared with other audio tools, this gets the 5 tacos.

I don't like the customer interface. There is a customer portal but I can't access it today. It asks for my email to login but I never receive an email from them. I've tried two different browsers. The videos I have tried, the sound enhancement was just OK. They were challenging, but the improvement was not great.

I make a lot of promotional videos for my training business and also for ads, Sometimes it's difficult to shoot in a non noisy location plus there can be lot of Echo. All that is being removed and the overall audio quality is now increased with xound.
