Transform your data into insights in seconds
I was very excited to upload my data and get new insights from my datasets. But the results I got disappoint me very much.
The first data set contained summarized data, mean values of the items in my survey, differentiated by occupational group. I knew this was not the ideal basis for an analysis by Chartpixel, but the key-insight got it completely wrong. High values in my data represented a risk, low value a secure environment. But the “key-insights” by the AI interpreted high values as positive, low values as negative. There is no input option to tell Chartpixel how to interpret the values. This is why the automatic analysis, immediately after uploading the data, came to the wrong conclusions.
Furthermore, Chartpixel seems to read causal relationships from my data, which it does not contain at all. I only have one measurement point in my data and yet the AI formulates that one variable predicts the values of the other, i.e., that it is a predictor. Unfortunately, I cannot find any information in the evaluation or in the charts as to which statistical analyses lead to this statement. There is therefore no way of understanding the results even from a math point of view.
I have uploaded a second data set that contains raw data from 90 people. Even though the data set is rather small, it should now be data that Chartpixel can process reliably. This is what the support team said in response to my feedback after the first attempt.
Although I had uploaded a German-language data set and the output language is set to German, I received all item descriptions in the charts in English. The meaning of the item names had been changed by the translation.
One statement in the “key insights” of this evaluation was: “Time Management leads the self-assessment of work quality.” Apart from the fact that the term time management does not even appear in my data set, the content of this statement is incomprehensible to me.
Again, there is no explanation as to how the AI arrived at this result and which items from my questionnaire were included in the variable “time management”, which was presumably constructed by the AI.
Apart from the fact that the content of the statement is incomprehensible to me, I would have no way of explaining to my listeners, to whom I present the results, how these conclusions were drawn from the data. In my view, there is a lack of transparency in the calculations and this leads to a lack of my trust in the calculations and interpretations.
I could mention other points that seem strange to me in Chartpixel's evaluation of this data set, but I don't want to make the text too long.
My conclusion is that the high expectations I had after reading the very positive reviews were not fulfilled. For the kind of data, I want to analyse, e.g., from employee surveys, Chartpixel seems unsuitable. I will ask for a refund.
We are already pulling deep insights from survey data with little to no effort. The Matrix report alone has made this a great purchase. But after being talked through the more advanced abilities to interact with and deepen our understand the feedback responses we are getting (only one of the scenarios we are planning on using ChartPixel for) we are confident we can align our offer messaging with our ideal customer base. This may not mean much unless you have had to sift through survey responses and manually create your insights - hours and hours and hours. When I did get stuck and contacted ChartPixel I was given a VIP tour of the app and shown how to maximise how this can work for our use case. One of the best experiences I have had on AppSumo. (Well done to you too AppSumo). If I skipped over it, the AI engine behind ChartPixel is way beyond any charting AI I have worked with ...
ChartPixel is an invaluable tool for media and entertainment analysis at Triangle Forces. Its intuitive interface allows us to visualize data trends effortlessly, enabling our team to make informed decisions quickly. The platform's robust analytics capabilities empower us to dissect audience engagement metrics and content performance, providing actionable insights that drive strategic planning.
With ChartPixel, we've significantly enhanced our ability to track industry trends, understand viewer preferences, and ultimately elevate our content strategy. This is a must-have for any team looking to stay ahead in the competitive landscape of media and entertainment (or for any other business relying on data analysis).
ChartPixel platform is truly unique in many aspects, it uses the most advanced statistical AI analysis model, the insights it makes is easy to comprehend and very useful. Put it as simple as that - this is an indispensable, easy to use platform for ay advanced stats data analysis for a very accessible price! And on top of that - their support is super fast and helpful! I would give ChartPixel 10 tacos if I could!
This review is more for the developer than the product, although this is a gem in the rough with huge potential. The responsiveness of the team to issues I was initially facing with the software was lightning fast, as well as a custom fix. I wish nothing but good things for the team behind ChartPixel.
The software itself gives impressive and good-looking results. The generated insights are mostly spot-on if the data is handled correctly, but can get repetitive as if it is trying to fill the space. I am confident this will improve as the software matures.
If you need to get a fresh eye on financial/marketing/operations performance, you'll want to give ChartPixel a shot. It's a fast way to get some new ideas generated, particularly valuable if you're heading into a quarterly business review. The outputs follow basic FUA (fact/understanding/action) structure for presenting data analysis - and since you can export to PPT/Slides, it's super easy to get this information from site to presentation deck. The insights and visuals are hit or miss, but when you enter your prompt as you upload the dataset, I've found more detail here in combination with a tidy dataset can improve the quality of output from ChartPixel. I'd say there are at least three very solid insights/visuals for each dataset I've uploaded - which I'll gladly take any day. There are some solid visuals that ChartPixel can craft, and it's ability to quickly double check statistical significance and other measures and share back the info is a solid plus. You can also create your own views by mixing dimensions and metrics to some extent. There are some limitations here, but in general it's a nice feature that I'm sure will continue to improve over time.
The unsung hero is speed. It does all of this work in just a minute or so. It takes activities that I would normally do in hours and accomplishes them in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend and excited to see where this crew takes this product in the future.
Originally jumped in on Tier 1 but after using for one project moved to Tier 3. This is unique and highly useful software for taking a look at survey data sets and winnowing out interesting findings. I think it has a great deal of potential as it continues to develop. Plus, one of the co-founders reached out to me and is very interested in my feedback, which tells me a great deal about their engagement in the development of this tool. Just for reference, I've been doing market research work for 30+ years and have used lots of analysis tools. Give this one a try!
I am a HUGE fan of spreadsheets and my boss prefers visuals. This makes it SO easy to create amazing charts and graphs. I look forward learning more features!
Even if my own visualisation needs where not covered by the current version of the app, Jack was very prompt to help and to find solutions. I'm confident that with the forthcoming version of the app, i will be able to create more value out of my data. Looking forward, and thanks Jack for your dedication to listen to your customers needs :)
I've been using ChartPixel for a few days now to create reports and present my data, and I have to say, it's an intuitive and user-friendly platform. The interface is straightforward, making it easy to navigate even for beginners. Whenever I had questions, the support team was responsive and incredibly helpful. While I’m looking forward to seeing more features added in the future, this platform is already a fantastic tool for anyone passionate about data visualization. I wish I could upgrade to tier 3 someday or can we have tier 1 with unlimited projects 😏
